The current situation in Eritrea is mind-boggling. The nation, which has been a source of hope 10 years ago has become unrecognisably ‘rouge’ where every shame and blame is thrown at; and is sliding into danger at a faster speed. The segments that still attempt to refute the reality are at fault and must consider their position.

The PFDJ authorities are experts at choosing fancy names and slogans. It is not through policies, but with this kind of propaganda tactics that they attempt to still or manipulate the hearts and minds of the Eritrean people. Every year they come up with new slogans while the country, to say the least, is in a chronic condition with regard to its social, economic and political development.

The state media has become a propaganda machine and government PR tool, whose job is to paint the government in a rosy light while the Eritrean people face all sorts of political and economic difficulties because of wrong policies and lack of leadership.
